Down on the farm.

I kinda nixed doing any inside work today...there is more painting and unpacking to be done of course, but I needed a break. Xander and I have been busy getting this big pen area in shape for our chickens, pigs and goats. This area is 55 feet by 53 feet and was totally over grown with weeds taller than me...and the trash that has accumulated in here was gross.

It is already starting to look so much better. Though just because it is 100 degrees out don't go hack down an over grown chicken coop area with a machete while wearing shorts and flip flops....the stinging nettles will find your feet, toes and legs. At least the kids were entertained with all the little animal skeletons we found, or "fossils" as they called them LOL. Aww the farm life.

You used to not be able to see through this fence.

All of this was taller than me...I have 6 blisters from wielding that machete.

Love this pic. I LOVE my new home and property...I feel so happy and at home here.
Still lots more work to do.

Xander has been a huge help, he and Hayden both are really taking to things out here. Lily not so much, and Jericho just runs and gets dirty all day every day LOL.

Kitsune is also loving it up here...she has actually lost some weight from all the running and playing, we are trying to get it back on her but I think she is just too active.
She is such a pretty girl, and an amazing farm dog. She shadows the kids and never runs off...such a good girl!
Lots of blackberries all over the property, there are wild strawberries and raspberries too...but only the blackberries taste good.
The chickens love them too. The girls have been on a bit of an egg freeze since the move, hopefully they kick it back into gear soon.

I wanted nothing more than a nice cool soak after working outside this afternoon. Kitsune was a bit jealous ;)

Our last move.

The new house is nowhere near ready, but it is moving day. I will be glad to not be driving back and forth anymore...even if I will be living in a construction zone for another month. I am also glad that this is IT, barring something crazy happening...good or bad, this is our LAST move!

We had some help moving today, teenagers are strong but usually don't have much patience for little kids. Jason was informed today that our kids are different...that they are awesome and always do something funny. Case in point....said teenager was sitting in the living room with Lily and Jericho. Jericho was being a nut of course. Lily looks over at Dylan and says "Don't worry, he was raised by squirrels." LOL I agree...my kids are pretty funny

OJ looks ready to roll out.
My copilot for the drive to the new house.
Stopped for gas, Woosaw and Sunny have me looking like crazy cat lady up in here.
We made it!
The house is a total disaster. No kidding it is going to take us at least a month to settle in, we have so many remodeling things still going on, not to mention we also have to take some time away to work on the outside too. This is going to be a nut house for a while. Jericho decided he wanted a PB&J for lunch...only he decided to make a "smash up" and asked me to use two kinds of jelly, the big kids thought he was on to something so they wanted it too. What ever keeps you guys entertained and busy works for me.

Silly boy.

New house, that they are a little freaked out to sleep in...I think all the warning talks about not going too far and to watch out for the bobcat, cougar, bear and deer scared them more than we meant to. New fun singing and light up toothbrushes helped bedtime go a touch better. Score for Dad.

Ahhhh I'm tired, but it feels so good to be HOME.

Two more days of busting our butts.

This is a compilation of the last couple days of work at the new house. We had 1 kid free day to spend 10 hours working, then another day or two with some help from the kids too. Lots of painting for me, thankfully I had help from Scott. Amber and Jason hit the floors hard. Such a slow process, I just want it done and move in ready already.
The colors have been pretty miss on the hit and miss scale. I don't hate them, but only a couple have turned out like the picture of what they were supposed to look like. My bedroom, supposed to be a light gray...but has a lot of blue to the gray.
The greens of both bathrooms are not like I hoped...my bathroom is a little better, it is got a lot of an aqua-ish to it. The guest/kids bath is really minty.

The living room color turned out good, it is a pewter but a lot lighter than the pewter we used in our last house.
Floors getting done!

Jericho's room all done except for trim and a closet door.

Minty hall bath, I was going to add some pewter to the green and paint it again, but the color is starting to grow on the lazy side of me that still has a lot of other rooms left to paint LOL.

Looking tired already boys.

My bathroom color dried pretty nice.

Mr. Larry getting to work on our new walls. I hope we never have to remodel a house without his help, the man is a true gift.

My kitchen paint looks lighter than I thought it would too...so far Rodda paint is not impressing me much. The colors are fine, just wish they were more like I expected them to be.

Lots of progress today.

This house lacked storage big time, so now we have enclosed the family room to be the girls bedroom, we gave them a closet and we also made a coat closet and a linen closet...plus a little decorative alcove above the linen closet.

Jason and the kids drove out into the front pasture today to take down the big For Sale sign...they had a blast.

Funny how much bigger it makes our property look when you see a pick up truck driving around on it.

The is as zoomed in as my lens gets from the back porch.

The girls helped me paint their two walls that are not under construction.

They have such an awesome room.

My dining room is shaping up, so glad we knocked down that dinky room...so much more open now.

Poor Jason...I wouldn't let us go home until this rooms flooring was in...I'm such a slave driver LOL.
