Wet dogs and fluffy kittens.

Off to another Barn Hunt practice.

Baya made a new friend at practice today.

Supposed to rain for the next 10 days. Boo. Took Baya to check out water for the first time after Barn Hunt.

The cutest fluff balls got a photo shoot out in the sunshine today.
Just about 2 1/2 weeks until they head to their new homes!

Busy Busy Bees.

Beautiful day for a mani pedi...the boys behaved like gentlemen, for the most part LOL.

Back to work on the patio project. It is coming along!
That is a lot of gravel...the driveway is getting a healthy helping also.

Next step will be wood forms and concrete!

Really amazing sunset tonight...wish I was home with my real camera to capture it.

Embrace the gray.

Xander's turn for Student Of The Month! Way to go Xan, super proud of you.

Time to debut my new do. I’m embracing my gray, it’s been trying to take over since I was 21. Now, after fighting it for 19 years, it’s trendy. My hair lady is amazing!! Zero make up kind of day. Skeet went to the vet for a raging UTI, 3 kids ran around to practices and ain’t nobody got time for makeup anymore LOL.

Poor Skeet. Had to see the vet today, she did really great. Thank goodness we went to meet Bubba a couple days ago or I would never have known something was wrong. She is on antibiotics twice a day for 3 weeks. I have no idea how long it’s been going on, and can’t help but think of the what if’s. She is eating and acting normal, not crying out in pain...nothing. I could have totally missed this until it was even worse...and it is BAD. I totally feel awful, wish I would have noticed sooner...but I just am never watching her so closely as to see her pee in the field. It is SOOO bloody the vet thinks it likely has been going on for a couple weeks. She has been acting totally normal, super hard to know when something is not right.
Bug and Skeet had a little cuddle session. Such a sweetheart.

Project time.

Getting to work on a little home improvement project. We are adding a couple bedrooms (each kid having their own room means cleaner rooms...right?), a bathroom and a covered/screened patio. This is mostly the patio part.

I don't know who loved the tractor more...Jason driving it or Lycan racing it LOL.

The girls also wanted a turn to drive.

DNA is so cool.

2 weeks after Embark got Skeets DNA sample, I got the results!! She was sold to me as a LGD mix, which is what I wanted. She is out with our goats and pigs 24/7, and is doing her job well. I was just curious if the mix I was told she is is actually correct. I was told Great Pyr X Anatolian with a small amount of Ovcharka. Turns out that is exactly what she is.

Skeet never leaves the farm, today she ran around a little. She much prefers the farm, but she did great.

Skeet met a new friend today. Bubba is a handsome, single and ready to mingle, Caucasian Ovcharka.
I'm hoping these two will have a beautiful litter one of these days soon.

One day...I hope to have a great garden. Saving this for when my black thumb magically turns green.

Ouch!

Scooter had his teeth floated today. The name of this procedure is very misleading. They actually grind down any sharp teeth or edges with a power tool..under sedation. Vet puts him at 25 years old or a little over, one tooth came out without being pulled, and he has another that she said is loose. He is about 100 lbs underweight, they think he should do just fine now that it will be much more comfortable to eat. He was a very very good boy today!
