It has been almost 2 months since we said a sad good bye to the best dog ever. Gangster fought a brave battle against 2 types of cancer and did so with such stoic dignity and patience. He never got cranky with our children, despite the pain he must have been in even with meds...even our 3 1/2 year old, Jericho, who isn't always as gentle as he should be, got nothing but weak kisses. We were blessed to love you for almost 10 years Gangster, you never let us down and you never failed to show people what a real pit bull could, and should, be like. We miss you every day.
This photo is not perfect, but I love it and when a friend told me I Heart Faces contest this month was 'Pets' I decided to enter this one. Gangster was very weak and tired toward the end of his battle, he spent a lot of time on his dog bed...and his best buddy Jericho spent a lot of time laying with him. These two had a beautiful, working, friendship. Jericho would drop the food, Gangster would be right there to help him clean it up...we miss that too LOL, never knew what slobs my kids can be until we became a dogless family Hahaha. Gangster was my kids best friend, play mate and guardian since the day we brought our month old triplets home to meet him. Thank you G, enjoy your time at the bridge...until we meet again.
<3 <3 <3 I love it.
