Dress 1 just about done!

Grandma came over for a few hours today, and we got quite a bit done on one of the girls birthday dresses. Still have some final tweaking to do, and straps to add but it is just about done. My Mother In Law put in a couple more hours than I did, so she may feel differently, but I didn't think it was too hard of a project. Though when we first got started today I was freaking out because it looked like the squares were going to be too small. Turns out they are just fine...thank goodness, we were not excited about having to buy new fabric and start all over.

I logged a little time doing some actual sewing today. Jason took it upon himself to grab my camera and take a couple pics. He must have thought he would never see this again, he is probably right LOL.

Lily was still in total pill mode, and has been for the last 4 days...ugh, so Haddie was our model today :)

Sewing elastic into the top...gives it a cute raunched, or whatever you call it, look.

Trying it on...it still needs straps, and I think we need to tweak the orange tier a bit, it looks taller than the other colors...but not too shabby :)

I didn't get any twirling pics but boy does this dress twirl!

I forgot to add these earlier, they are from a couple days ago. Xander had passed out on the couch, Lily decided to get up, go in their bedroom and get Xander a blanket. Then she very gently covered him up and gave him a kiss. Awww.
