My budding artists.

The girls, especially Haddie, have been on a huge art kick lately. I have not been doing any crafts with them...really since we moved, just been too busy, I think they are missing it. They have been going crazy with their Preschool activity books, their "homework" as they call it, and good old plain paper and crayons. I am drowning in a sea pictures, and my little pack rats don't want to let any of it go. Here is just a sample of some of my faves, this is just 2 or 3 days worth LOL.
Now keep in mind the girls got no help of any kind...I love getting told the story behind their pictures.
First up we have a picture Hayden did of her rattie boy Star, she may have forgotten his ears, but she sure did not forget his, um, torpedo's Hahaha!!

My kids never draw sad pictures, I can't remember a single one where the stick figures weren't smiling. Today Haddie drew a picture of our dog Gangster, she told me he was sad because he is laying on the hard ground...then she asked if we could buy him a new bed (we tossed the old ones a few weeks ago.)

Some roses from Hayden.

This one is a selfie, we do a lot of those around here, Hayden and Star.

Haddie did this one too, it is Hayden and Star and Lily and Remy :)

Here are the trio courtesy of Hayden, I like how Xander gets the blue hair.

This one is a Lily original. You can for sure tell she doesn't have the attention for detail that Hayden does. She told me this is her and her new friend Sarah swimming at swimming school. The lifeguard is standing over on the side and Mom and Dad are watching from the viewing area up above. She also added the vending machines, which all the kids beg to raid every time we go to class LOL.

Haddie did this one of her in the park with her Dad picking apples from an apple tree.

Hayden tried her hand at Hello Kitty.

Hayden knows that 'A' is for Apple :)

We are still reading the Ramona books, Hayden is the most into them. This is from the book, that is Ramona when she squirted out the whole tube of toothpaste.

Lily drew a house, car, apple tree. I love how they draw apple trees, so cute.

Me and Lily at the park, she usually asks me what my favorite color is so she can use it for my dress :)

A mouse that Haddie drew.

This is Hayden with Lily is Lalaloopsy land.

The bigger picture is Lily's Mini Mouse. The smaller on is Hayden's horse.

These are Hayden's, the small one is an astronaut and the bigger one a mouse.

Some pictures are a little peculiar, here we have a picture Hayden and Lily did together. The girls are with their, get this, little sisters and baby puppies, at the park Hahaha.

Lily has written a couple books, they may be short...and hard to read, but she is very serious about them. This one is her Mary Had A Little Lamb book :)

While the girls were busy drawing the boys were outside playing in the mud. They were having too much fun for us to get cranky about it, so we just told them they would be taking a quick bath before dinner...you would think we said get even more dirty its all good LOL. They really got into their fun, Jason had to go out and give them a quick hose down just so they could come in and get in the tub.
The girls taunted their Dad at the window.

Hosing off turned into a game too of course.

More taunting from the girls...they didn't think their Dad would actually spray them, neither did I. We were all wrong.

Jericho, you are getting the hose next.
I don't know why they insist on knocking all their toys over every single day.

Then Xander turned the tables on Dad LOL.

Run!!!!

Hayden stayed well out of it.

Lily however surprised us and went and got in the mud too.

We had all worked up an appetite, dinner was scrumptious! Creamy White Chicken and Artichoke Lasagna...another Pinterest win!

You need:
2 cups  shredded cooked chicken breasts (we just bought a cooked rotisserie chicken and used that)
1 can  (14 oz.) artichoke hearts, drained, chopped
1 pkg.  (8 oz.) Shredded Mozzarella Cheese, divided
1/2 cup  Grated Parmesan Cheese
1/2 cup   chopped drained oil-packed sun-dried tomatoes
2 pkg.  (8 oz. each) Cream Cheese, softened
1 cup  milk
1/2 tsp.  garlic powder
1/4 cup  tightly packed fresh basil, chopped, divided
12 lasagna noodles, cooked

How to:
HEAT oven to 350°F.
COMBINE chicken, artichokes, 1 cup mozzarella, Parmesan and tomatoes. Beat cream cheese, milk and garlic powder with mixer until well blended; stir in 2 Tbsp. basil. Mix half with the chicken mixture.
SPREAD half the remaining cream cheese mixture onto bottom of 13x9-inch baking dish; cover with 3 noodles and 1/3 of the chicken mixture. Repeat layers of noodles and chicken mixture twice. Top with remaining noodles, cream cheese mixture and mozzarella; cover.
BAKE 25 min. or until heated through. Sprinkle with remaining basil. Let stand 5 min. before cutting to serve.

Mmmm!
