My job rocks!

Got to be part of my first c-section at work. Momma was in unproductive labor for two days. Much longer than recommended. The 8 pups were huge, full of fluid, meconium, sleepy and didn’t look great. With many hands working together for a good 40 minutes we revived 6. I love my job!

 

Dog, and kitten, tired.

8 basketball games in 3 days. Hayden is exhausted but had so much fun. She tussled with the big girls like they weren’t 3 years older than her LOL. She hit the ground a lot but won her share of jump balls. No fear! It is hard work playing against these 16-18 year olds. Some are huge. 

Eleven is in heat...so sad too bad Egon you have to skip play time for a while LOL.

It's a bummer the flies are bothering you Cinder. Next time don't trash your brand new Amigo flysheet and neck cover. Ugh.

 Such a beautiful day...summer is really here! Cinder heads back to her cow fun next month, can't wait!

Almost to the end.

Studying for my last proctor, then all I have left to finish is the last externship...so close to being done with school. Had to take a kitten break. Eda and Egon got to meet the babies! 

My kids crack me up. I was trying to hand Jericho a handful of trash. He was bending down and ran his face right into my fist. He did his best impersonation of LeBron and I apologized saying I didn’t mean to punch him in the face. Hayden pipes up with “that’s what they all say to CPS”.

Funny co-workers.

Work fam gave everyone nicknames today…mine LOL. I guess there is a movie I need to watch that would make this make sense. 

Hayden got her 14U softball team and her volleyball team pics back. She never lets me put makeup on her, lucky girl she doesn’t need it.

Big girls play hard.

First games with Hayden’s 18U tournament team this weekend. The girls were playing with only 8 and of those a couple were fill ins. They struggled but kept at it. Hayden played 1st mostly but did enjoy spending time at 2nd and short too, a couple errors but mostly she did very well hanging with the big girls. Hayden was a bit worried about batting against the 16-18 year olds, but she held her own. She is still scared to get hit by one of these screaming pitches. I don’t blame her. The older girls have accepted her fully, and only make fun of her being the “baby” every once in a while 😉 She killed it this weekend you would never know she is only 14. It says it all when the opposing teams coach tells your kid he thinks she is a really good player and to keep it up…during the game when she tried like heck for a foul ball LOL. I'm burnt, why do I always make sure the kid wears sunscreen but forget myself.

 

Brusth those teeth.

Doing dentals at the clinic is so rewarding. Sometimes there is not much you can do but to remove the problems as no amount of cleaning will help. Check your dogs teeth. Bad breath, lots of calculi build up are signs that a cleaning may be needed. Little dogs especially should be checked yearly and have dentals done. Dental chews are somewhat helpful, dental wipes even better. This is a pile of teeth that pretty much fell out during a dental today on a FIVE year old dog…who was already missing other teeth. I had chipped all the calc off and cleaned them partially before they came out. Some came out during the chipping of the calc. 

Kitty was not impressed with us, and was insulted by her owners choice of cones LOL. Good news Lycans histo came back benign.

Hayden had fun trying out Track this year, doubt she will do it in high school as it’s at the same time as softball. Brought home some awards.

New couch. Olaf is pissed, he can’t hide under this one as easily. 

Hayden and Jericho ate all the sardines. Don’t know what made them want to try, but both said they would eat them again.

Happy Mother’s Day. I hope your people spoil you. Now that the kids are old enough to pick their own gifts for me it’s even better. The thought and places these gifts come from are as unique as each of my amazing kiddos. Xander got me the Shit Show Supervisor sign…he then says it has a smudge we need to get off. I told him nope, that is perfect (and fitting) just the way it is LOL.
