Life has changed so much since buying this house. We bought it pre-kids, almost 8 years ago, and it needed quite a bit of work. Over time we have ripped up all the carpet and had the original hardwoods refinished, ripped up all the lino in the kitchen, bathroom and laundry room and put down tile, we replaced the sliding glass door to the back yard with french doors, we remodeled the kitchen with new cabinets and granite counter and bar, replaced all the windows, tore down the horrid wall paper that was covering the house and repainted, turned the garage into a 3rd bedroom...the previous owner had started that project but didn't do a good job or get it finished. It is only about 1100 sq ft, and not in a kid friendly area...a move is long over due. Even so, I think a small part of me will be sad to see this house go. Jason and I got married while we lived in this house. We brought our tiny triplets home to this house, then not quite 2 1/2 years later brought Jericho home to this house...we have become a family in this house. I am very excited for more space though, 6 people and all their crap in 1100 sq ft is a tight fit...not to mention we NEED a second bathroom LOL.
Thankfully Uncle Skunk, Auntie Amber and Cousin Hailee had come out for dinner tonight so Jason had some more muscle to get the big sucker moved. Yup, you are expected to work for your meals around here :)
Miss Hailee was staying for the trio's first sleep over party! The kids were all super excited!
We got new TWIN size bunk beds at IKEA, Jason didn't get them put together tonight but we can already tell they are going to be a much better fit for the room.
Dinner was yummy as always!
Hawaiian grilled chicken. Coconut milk marinade.
Ingredients:
4-6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts *We used thighs*
1 cup soy sauce (low sodium)
1 cup water
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
1 bunch of green onions, chopped (reserve some for garnish)
1/4 cup of white onion, chopped
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon of sesame oil
1 (13.5 ounce) can of coconut milk
Directions:
Mix soy sauce, water, brown sugar, onions, garlic, sesame oil, and coconut milk in a large bowl. Place chicken breasts in marinade. Let chicken marinade for at least 4 hours or overnight.
Grill chicken on a low heat so that the marinade does not burn for 5-7 minutes per side or until done. If you do not have a grill you can use a indoor grill pan.
Serve over rice or Asian noodles and garnish with green onions and top with a little extra soy sauce.

Turned out great...another Pinterest win!
The trio were their usual crazy selves at bed time...Hailee passed out first LOL.
I'm now rocking the new iPhone5...yay for upgrades with new contracts! Which means Jason gets to join the iPhone world with my 4 :)

Oh wow. Good luck with the sale! I obsess about it sometimes because our yard is so eensy and they have completely torn it up. The house is tolerable, but we'll have to have all four girls in one bedroom and I don't think there's enough alcohol in the world for us to survive adolescence with that set-up. I just can't imagine getting all our crap organized. I'm terribly impressed!
Thanks! I hope it works out...so hard to be buying and selling houses these days. Man I can't wait to get a second bathroom...Xander is the epitome of what all females complain about when sharing a bathroom with a male LOL!
