A mixed bag, green from St. Patty's and cabinets.

A little late, but here is what we had to eat on St. Patrick's Day...the kids and I are part Irish ya know ;)

We made green pancakes, one side came out more green than the other LOL. I used a little pancake batter dyed extra green to make the clovers.

Dinner was green too, due to lots of spinach. The lighting on this pic sucks major but the food was yummy. Crockpot Alfredo chicken!
4-6 large boneless chicken breasts ... we use thighs in most of our chicken meals.
Seasoning salt, to taste  .... we never use salt in our dishes, we are just not big salt people.
16 ounce jar Carb Options or low fat Alfredo Sauce
3 cloves garlic, cut in half
1/2 pound fresh mushrooms, cut in half
Garlic powder
Freshly ground pepper
Fresh parsley, chopped ....I used shaker parsley.
4 1/2 ounces fresh spinach, about 1/2 bag.... I used a whole bag, the kids love spinach.

Place the chicken in a slow cooker and sprinkle on both sides with seasoning salt. Add the sauce and garlic; mix to coat the chicken with the sauce. Place the mushrooms on top of the chicken; sprinkle with a little garlic powder, pepper and parsley. Cook on LOW about 4 hours or until the chicken is done. Add the spinach and cook just until the spinach starts to wilt. We served it over rice, it would be good over noodles too.
The cabinet bases at the new house are done! Sanded, 3 coats of stain...24 hours between each, and 3 coats of poly...24 hours between each too. They look pretty darn amazing, I can't wait to get the doors done and see it all put back together!

The poly is a satin, and you still get lots of shine.
I love that you can still see the grain of the wood...so pretty. This stain will be my go to from now on, love it!

More sanding on the doors and drawers to do...lots more.

Project start to finish
