We must not go to the Doctors enough.

The trio had their 18 month appointments today, they were so happy to be running around the office, banging on the cabinets and ripping up the paper table cover, just having a great time. Then as soon as the Doctor got near them they had melt downs, they didn't even get any pokes. I don't know why they freaked but it made the appt loads of fun let me tell you. Good news they are all growing very well, and she is not worried that they are eating or drinking too much, whew.
Xander is 29 lbs 85th%, 33 1/2" tall 85th%, 48.5 cm head 75th%.
Hayden is 28 1/2 lbs 90th%, 33" tall 85th%, 46.5 cm head 50th%.
Lily is 27lbs 80th%, 32 3/4" tall 80%, 48 cm head 90th%.
So looking really great there!!!
We also filled out the 18 month ASQ sheets, this tests where they are with fine and gross motor skills, plus speech, problem solving and social skills.
Xander scored very very high on gross motor, he also scored really high on fine motor and problem solving. He however was a tad low on social and very low on speech.
Hayden scored really well on everything, but a tad low social.
Lily scored high on fine motor and problem solving but was a touch low on the others.
The Pedi sent a referral for EI (Early Intervention) for Xander, and though the girls were pretty much fine I asked her to have them evaluated too since we would be doing it with Xander I figured we should get them all checked out. The Doc feels they are probably totally fine the only thing that was very low was Xanders speech and she feels since he is so focused on his motor skills right now that communication has taken a back seat, and that this is not uncommon especially in boys. I am glad to be getting them checked out though, if there is an issue best to get working on it right away.
Some pics from the Doctors office :)
Getting so tall!
Ouch Buddy, your poor eye.

When we got home we had some play time, Hayden was her usual entertaining self, first she held the play phone to her ear and had a little 2 min long jibbering conversation with herself. Next she found a piece of paper that she wasn't supposed to have, since we are still in the everything goes in our mouth phase. Unfortunately for her her sometimes rare kindness got her caught. I just happened to see out of the corner of my eye that she shared something with Lily, and Lily promptly put in her mouth. From my vantage point it looked like some unsavory deal gone bad. Hayden gave half of the paper to Lily, Lily shoved it in her mouth, I jumped up and said what do you girls have. They both spun around and froze staring at me, then I moved toward them and Lily smiled as she tried quickly to swallow this contraband, Hayden spun on her heel to make a fast get away. I was lucky I had back up on this one and I sent Jason chasing down Hayden was was fleeing the scene as fast as her two legs could carry her. I turned my full attention to Lily and managed to get the paper out of her mouth while she laughed at me. Seeing as they were both caught almost immediately I hope they realize a life of crime doesn't look like the right path for them :)
My wee criminals....
Miss Hayden

Trying on their new hats....they hate hats LOL
Bug didn't keep hers on long.

Xander is still recovering from his busted eye, which is still looking worse every day. Though has it slowed him down, perhaps made him think twice about his dangerous and risky behaviors...not a chance hahaha.
Mr. Man showing off his shiners progress.

This is a 24 month sleeper...I can't believe my 18 month olds are so big!
I see you back there...

The work on the conversion of the spare room into an actual bedroom and remodeling our laundry room kicks off tomorrow, I am so excited to get this done...it shouldn't take longer than 3 weeks!
Some more pics...
We are trying to introduce silverware, it's not going too great...they love holding their spoons in one hand...while they eat with their other hand LOL.

Three times the shrill, but oh so happy, screams!!!*

I always try to keep my videos short but this is too funny to make too short. I hope you have a few min. to watch some of the wild and crazy fun going on over here :)
OK it is a bit over 3 min long but I think it's worth the time. Just to prep you this was about 7:45 tonight, they go to bed at 8pm. We were getting them changed for bed, when we got them undressed they went apeshit LMAO.

Oh and here are a couple pics of Rocky the morning after his big fight with the floor LOL
Here is a 1 min video of Xander having some wagon fun. Just look at the crazy stunts he pulls, look Ma no hands, no wonder he has a black eye LOL

In other news I got the 1st 'blog to book' project done...the first 6mo of my blog is now a 74 page, 174 picture, hardback book! Can't wait for it to get here...I have already started on book 2, 7-12mo :)

Yo, Adrian! It's me, Rocky.

Today was going great until Xander got hurt. He is such a daredevil he has minor falls or bumps all the time. Jason had to run a quick errand...he was gone 20 min and came back to his son sporting a goose egg near his eye. Xan was running around the couch tripped and fell, and caught the corner of his eye on a toy. Right next to his eye was swollen and turning colors before he even picked himself up off the floor, it was sooo fast. I got ice on it for a min or two right when it happened, then another min or two a couple hours later before we put the trio to bed. I will be surprised if it doesn't end up a total black eye, and we have their Doctors appt in a couple days. This will be the first time taking anyone in with a busted eye...poor boy. He did manage to get to playing again right away, and eat a huge dinner an hour later. This boy is a bottomless pit, I swear for the next 17 years all we will see of him is his ass hanging out of the refrigerator LOL.
Owie poor baby :(
After getting changed for bed, Xan shows his Dad what happened. You could totally tell we was explaining to his Dad that he shoulda seen the other guy hehehe.
Some after dinner play time.
His two fav things, food and sports :)
See always in the kitchen....he only wishes there was some real food in there.
The girls getting a tickle attack :)
Bug still loving the wagon, she is also getting out of control with these walks. The kid must be some kind of excersice nut, I just wonder what she is trying to tell me since I am always her chosen partner.
Xan getting a little before bed ice....I can't wait to see how it looks tomorrow.

I love playing with my kids!

We had such a fun evening tonight. First we had a little tea party, the trio got this cute tea set from Grandma for Christmas, when you tip the pot to pour it makes noise like tea is pouring out. The trio actually will act like they are pouring into our cups...their aim is not perfect though they try to get the spout in the cups. Then we all drink and they make cute little gulp noises and sometimes say "ahhh" after they take a drink LOL. They also make fake eating noises when they play with their play food, it is so funny to see them pretend play. After our spot of tea we all had dinner, I must say the triplets have made us an eat dinner at the table together family, and I really like it! After dinner Lily grabbed my hand to take a few laps, after a min or two my back was getting tired so I made a hand off to Jason and then he and Lily made a few laps. This was the first time she had done the walk with him and he was so funny, he looked back at me and said "she really holds on, she is going to cut off the circulation." After a few laps they walked over to the kitchen and he asked Lily if they were stopping for a drink after their long walk. Next we read a couple books, Hayden can now say 'book' though the 'k' is not really there, it sounds more like a 'boop' or something. Xander and Lily went to trying to eat their books so Hayden was the only one that got quality time trying to "read" her book. Lily Bug and Xan got tired of watching Hayden play with a book when they couldn't so they went about making their own fun. Xan got in this little school bus wagon thing, which he does all the time and every now and then we will pull him around a little. It's not made for kids to ride in it but for a min or two it's safe and he loves it. This time Lily grabbed the handle and tried with all her might to pull him, she is maybe 28 lbs and he is probably 30 lbs so it was quite the feat, she did manage to move it a couple inches but to really get it moving Dad pushed from behind. Little Bug thought she was She-Ra and both of them had huge smiles. They had so much fun and sure wore themselves out, 8pm they were in bed and right to sleep.

Our beautiful, if shaggy, Miss Hayden. I know lots of little girls with less hair than Hayden who always have cute bows or bands or pony's in their hair. The word hate does not quite cover Hayden's feelings on us messing with her hair. Though I need to make more of an effort....maybe she will get used to it.

Wagon time...look at how much fun they are having!!!

Kitchen and push toy fun.

Date night!

Thanks to Grandma Jason and I got out of the house for about 7 hours today!!! We went and saw Avatar....what an AWESOME movie, if you haven't seen it yet GO! Then we met up with some friends for Monte Carlo bowling...I am a craptastic bowler LOL. Grandma and the trio had fun playing while we were gone, Lily even took Grandma for a few laps around the living room. On another note, I am happy to announce I made it through the Holidays without gaining more than a pound or two yay!!!

Hello 2010!!!

Thankfully the babies slept through all the fireworks last night and we had a quiet day today, just chilled at home and played. Funny story of the day, Lily had this thing with holding my hand today, she would hold it and not let go for anything. If I handed her something she would take it with her free hand, if I tried to had her something else she would either drop what she had in her other hand or open her mouth for me to place the new item between her teeth LOL. One time she actually grabbed my hand with both of her hands in order to switch which hand was holding mine. Then she thought how fun it would be to go for a little walk about, we walked hand in hand up and down the hall and then round and round....and round the living room. We held hands so long both of us got all sweaty and my back started hurting from stooping to hold her little hand. This went on for hours, I finally managed to get her to use both hands to hold her sippy and thought I was free...nope a min or two later she comes running at me from across the room and grabs my hand and started tugging me for another walk. It was totally adorable...sweet Lily Bug.

A few pics of our travels today :)
