The big news of the day...my baby Lily lost her first tooth, OGM! It was loose all day, she kept playing with it and telling us how excited she is for her tooth to fall out and for the Tooth Fairy to come. Hayden cried for a good hour because she wants hers to fall out too, she even told me she would be proud of her teeth if they fell out LOL.
I was a little grossed out...ewww.
Hayden was so upset that she wasn't the 1st to have a loose tooth. Sad Haddie :( Lily on the other hand was all about getting the tooth out, and was very interested in just what the Tooth Fairy does with the teeth. Hmmm.
We had dinner, still waiting on that tooth...I thought she would lose it in her dinner LOL.
Chicken and Brocc!
2 pounds
1 cup chicken broth
1 cup soy sauce
2/3 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoon sesame oil
5 garlic cloves, minced
4 tablespoons cornstarch
4 tablespoons sauce from the crock pot after being cooked
Fresh broccoli florets (as many as desired)
can of those little baby corns
Hot cooked rice
1. Place chicken in a crock pot.
2. In a small bowl, combine broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, oil, and garlic. Pour over chicken. Cook on low for 3-4 hours.
3. In a cup, stir cornstarch and sauce form the crock pot until smooth. Add to crock pot. Stir well to combine.
4. Add broccoli and corn to the crock pot. Stir to combine.
5. Cover and cook an additional 30 minutes on high (the sauce has to boil for it to thicken).
I really hate the lighting in my kitchen...does not photograph well at all LOL.
After dinner the girls got down to tooth business. Haddie got over her jealousy and decided to help her sister. She told Lily she was a tooth Doctor and she would get it out. Then she kept holding her hands under Lily's mouth like when the tooth just fell out she would be there to catch it LOL.
There was lots of "pull, pull, pull" coaching for Lily from her sister.
Then Hayden grabbed an oven mitt...cause that is helpful in the tooth catching business Hehehe.
It was getting more loose every time she wiggled and messed with it. She was determined to have it out before bed.
Jason offered to help her, she was a little scared it was going to hurt. Then she said "I'll be brave, lets do it!" He grabbed it and after a tiny tug it popped right off, no bleeding or pain.
Look at my little 4 1/2 year old with a missing tooth...I am just a little sad over here.
The tooth was so tiny.
I didn't have a tooth pillow or any glitter hairspray on hand so I made do. Like the plastic baggy Hahaha. I wanted to make Lily's dollar a little magical, but didn't have any glitter spray like I saw on Pinterest. So I used regular glitter and hairsprayed some on each side LOL. I think the glitter spray would work better but we were not even expecting this for another 6-12 months so I wasn't prepared.
