A clean day one was a fluke.

Today in undies did not go as well as yesterday. Yesterday the girls were diaper less for 3 hours without accidents...or the need to go on the potty. Today was a mess, literally. In 5 hours, Lily had 2 accidents and Hayden had 1...then she threw in the towel and pleaded for a diaper. I was careful not to get upset about the accidents, even though with Lily's accidents I had JUST asked her if she needed to go to the potty not 3 min before she peed. Hayden I did sit on the potty for a few min, she did nothing and wanted down. She was down about 5 min and peed. Hayden took it hard, she seemed really down and upset with herself, she is so independent and wants to do everything herself I think it bothered her much more than it did Lily. Hayden also freaked because the floor got wet, after her accident and Lily's 2nd accident she refused to walk on the floor for a good hour....even when I told her I mopped. We may put this off again or try another route maybe...Pull Ups...I dunno.

They were fans of today's undie selections too.

Jericho passed out tonight...and looking 'So dog gone cute' :)

Have you seen the "potty train in 3 days" method? They may be too old for it to work, but maybe you could modify it. http://www.babycenter.com/0_potty-training-in-three-days-or-less_10310078.bc

Perhaps try one kid at a time, too. Maybe the one who "gets it" the most, then as that kid starts to figure it out, the other two will follow suit.

OH .... and I would avoid pull-ups. Maybe try some cloth trainers or some Gerber padded underwear.

The padded underwear is just enough to keep the puddle to a controlled puddle and they feel wet and don't like it.

Good luck! We are working on it now too, and it WAS going great until they got sick and could not control themselves. I agree with PP, use the cloth training pants (I got mine at walmart), they work great. They collect it very well and you can see when they go, as well as them being able to feel it. It is a different feel for them than a wet diaper I am sure. I only use pull ups for bed and nap cause they think of them like diapers and still go potty in them when they don't feel like going to the bathroom to go. You will know when they are ready! This is our 4th time trying and this time, they are doing so much better than any time before! Good luck!

Thanks! I think we will break down and get a little potty for the living room (we are just using the baby seat on the big toilet now.) I didn't want to have to, but if it helps I am willing to use one for a bit. If that doesn't help I think we will bag it again for a little bit.

I'm agreeing with the other ladies. With Pull-ups they treat them too much like diapers as most of them are still designed to wick away the moisture and feel dry to them. I'd get some padded cloth trainers and go that route. Liam decided Christmas morning (2yrs 3mos old) he wanted big boy boxers and was done with diapers. Merry Christmas to me! There have been some trying days and sometimes it's a challenge not to let them see you upset. When HE gets upset about his accident is when I really step up and make light of it. He's still in pull ups at night - at least until I find the time and right fabrics to make them.

Do you sew? One of the APA moms in our (well - your original) birth month, emailed me a fantastic patten for cloth pullups (with snaps and without, in a large range of sizes). Best pattern I've seen for them.

Thanks, I don't sew but I will look for cloth trainers.
