What can't vinegar do?

So Pinterest is not only good for crafts and food, I have become much better friends with vinegar since becoming a Pinterest addict.
A couple of my fave's so far.

A good shower cleaner: 1 cup vinegar (heated) mixed with 1 cup original blue Dawn. Spray on shower and let sit for 2 hours. Wipe off with a wet sponge.

Then there is a floor cleaner that seems to do a good job:
◦1 cup water
◦1 cup vinegar
◦1 cup isopropyl alcohol
◦2-3 drops natural dish soap
◦10-15 drops essential oil (optional)

Another pro tip from Pinterest...Dip the tip of an empty Swiffer Wetjet solution bottle into boiling water for about 10 seconds and the lid twists off (use a towel). Refill with your preferred cleaning solution!

You can even make some homemade paraben free fabric softener!

What you'll need:
6 cups HOT water
3 cups white vinegar
2 cups Suave Refreshing Waterfall Conditioner {or other favorite scent}

What you'll do:
Mix conditioner & hot water well, until conditioner is dissolved completely.
Add the vinegar, and mix well.
Store in a large container {empty fabric softener container, empty large vinegar bottle, etc}
Pour into a downy ball… or use approx. 2 tbsp. in the fabric softener spot in your laundry machine… then wash!

Last but not least, I haven't tried this one yet but will soon...
A weed kill that works better than Round Up. Even killed the weeds/stray grass on first application. One gallon of APPLE CIDER VINEGAR, 1/2 c table salt, 1 tsp Dawn. Mix and pour into a smaller spray bottle.

Vinegar...who knew?!?!

I can tell you one thing I now know...just because your husband is Mr. fixit, doesn't mean you should pick up a screw driver and try to fix your kids toy LOL. After I totally got it all apart I had to tell the kids Daddy needed to fix it Hahaha.

The rain showed back up today, so we did a fun Ladybug craft. You need some white paper plates (2 per bug,) some black paint and some red paint, some black construction paper, googley eyes and glue.
Paint on plate red, the other black. While they dry cut a bunch of black ovals out of the paper, and a head shaped circle too.

Cut your red plate in half and decorate each half with the dots.
Glue the red halves to the black whole paper plate with the wings spread a bit. Add your head too, with eyes glued on.

Ta-da...cute lil suckers :)

And my cute lil sucker :)
