Sun break.

The kiddos and I headed to the park for a few hours today. It was nice to not have a rainy dreary day for a change. I wish real summer would hurry up.

This boy. We were there for 5 minutes before he got muddy, showers tonight I guess...might as well go crazy LOL.

Jericho decided to unbutton his shirt and start doing "tricks" LOL

Doctor Lily was in fine form today. She made a big book of booboos and went to work curing everyone's ailments.

Next patient...roofing can be dangerous. My nasty bruise from getting hurt a week ago.

Trying to teach Hayden how to jump into a turning jump rope. Thankfully no one took pictures of me doing it...it's been a long time, but I still got it :)

My girls finally graduated from "chick starter" food and on to "grower" food...they are teenagers :)

Lily funny... Xander was playing in the backyard. Jason and I heard him turn on the water, I didn't feel like cleaning up muddy wet kids today so I told Jason to yell at him to stop. Jason bangs on the window and told him to turn off the water. Lily pipes up with "Uh Boss, I don't think he can hear you". She cracks me up.

Eastery Egg time.

We dialed back the Easter baskets this year. Everyone was thrilled, when they woke up at 6 fricking 30 in the morning, with what the bunny left. It was hard to get cranky when we heard the boys hollering about a "miracle" to their sisters LOL.

My big kids, can't believe they are almost 7...wow!

They are all so adorable...our neighbor "Katie Lady" got these outfits for them to wear today. It was actually a life saver, I have been so preoccupied with the roof that I didn't even buy the kids Easter outfits this year.

53 eggs did not take long at all to find...they are super sleuths.

Silly brothers. Love these two boys. They fight like crazy most of the time...actually want their own rooms in our next house, but I think they will always have each others back.

Then there is my two sweet girls. These two are a couple peas in a pod, they wouldn't want their own bedrooms even if we bribed them.

Then Jericho decided he would also bake a cake. He put his plastic bucket, AKA his pretend cake, into the oven and forgot about it. I had no idea until after the oven was preheated for dinner and I opened the door to this stinky mess. Gotta laugh, poor Jericho is a one man wrecking team...it has got to get tiresome LOL.

The neighborhood munchkins got a trial run egg hunt today over at "Katie Lady's" house. They each had their own color and had no problem locating their eggs.

Easter is probably Lily's favorite Holiday...well actually it is probably tied with any other Holiday that involves treats LOL.

Little man was a busy boy.

One of Lily's was high up in a tree. The girls tried a little team work.

It was both funny and sweet to watch them try to get that egg.

In the end Katie had to give a little helping hand.

The boys were running around like crazy.

Cousin Hailee joined us...Amber and Jason got more work done on the roof, hopefully we have it finished this week!

This year is flying.

It is April already, how the heck?! Easter tried to sneak up on us for sure. We have been so busy with the roof...which is getting real close to being done finally, I had a fleeting thought of not even dying eggs this year. Then I mentally slapped myself for trying to be lame and decided to not be a crappy mom and color some damn eggs LOL.

This year in addition to the store bought dye packs we gave food color a try. It has now tied for first place with the tissue paper method for making the coolest eggs.

We had a ton of dye options but only boiled 18 eggs LOL...the kiddos all had fun though and didn't complain about the egg shortage.

The really vibrant ones are from using neon food color with some water and vinegar...they turned out really awesome. Gotta add stickers and wrappers tomorrow.

As we were taking a long cut drive home that the kids didn't recognize, I heard the following from the peanut gallery in the back seats.
