School time.

Back to school! irst day of 9th grade for the triplets. How are they in High School already?! Play nice with the other kiddies guys!

Babies!

Orla woke me up very early Tuesday morning, with a tiny baby already out and cleaned up…but cold. By 4:30am the other 4 were out. Two big babies and two medium sized. I spent from 4:30 to 6 trying to get the tiny one to nurse. She was not strong, sadly we lost her the following day. Thankfully the other 4 seem to be doing well.

X-ray day for Orla. Looks like 5 babies. One of those looks much smaller than the others. Never enough to go around, but really hoped for a few more. After not having a litter in over two years there were a lot of people hoping to get one of these littles. Hate to disappoint. Momma loved everyone at the clinic. She is such a sweet girl.

This smile. Hayden is one happy kid…got to start throwing the rope today on the dummy. Thanks horse fam we love you guys and all the lessons and encouragement! 

The old and the young.

Wish it was always fun and games when you have a bring your dog to work day. The old man is struggling, we sent off a cancer screening test and I’m not expecting good news. My gut is telling me our time is limited. He will be 9 next month, too young to look like an old tired man. He is normally 70 lbs. when we took the masses off he was 60 and I was shocked histo came back no cancer. Now he is 50 lbs just 3 1/2 months later. Ravenously hungry eating 2 cups am and 2 pm like he always has. He is losing muscle mass…even in his skull. He has had x-rays and CBC CHEM done twice in the last 3 1/2 months but not seeing masses in chest or abdomen. He is just shrinking away. I hope the cancer screening gives us an answer…even if it’s bad. I will not let him suffer. If this continues without cause I will put him down even if I don’t know what is going on. 

In happier news, Orla has about 8 days to go!! I will be x-raying for a count soon.

Kids say the funniest things.

After a busy month off its time to get back in the saddle. Cinder did great. 

Hayden got to try driving…just not in a car. She said Cinder got a little jealous LOL.

Tonight's entertainment.

 I have the best co-workers. My externship in intense, requires a lot, and most of it I can not do my by myself as I need a camera person and usually an assistant to hold my patients. I can't tell you how many times the people I work with have come through for me, happy to help me do whatever I need even if it is a pain in the ass. 3 weeks down, and about 1/4 of the way done.

Oh la la

So neat to find out what old jewelry really is. My mom used to be an airline stewardess back in the 60’s. One day at work a Cuban family was fleeing Cuba during the Bay Of Pigs invasion. The husband was a jeweler. He was selling pieces to make money for his family and my mom picked out a couple. He told her this particular piece was an Alexandrite. She never had it appraised. I had to have my wedding set done for insurance since everything has gone up so I decided to do my moms ring too. Turns out it is not an Alexandrite, bummer, but a color changing sapphire and it’s 22 carats. I wish I could get better pictures. In person it is a bright aqua in the sunshine and a purple in indoor lighting. It’s pretty cool. 

Trips with Grandma.

 The kids are so lucky to have the best Grandma. They went with her camping for a few days. Summer feels like it is starting to wind down.

Coco I’m trying to do school work. Been working hard on the second externship...there is just so much.

Orla has about 2 1/2 weeks to go. Just starting to get a belly. Dutchies stay so fit.

Egon and Edalyn are going to be 10 months old next week. They are looking so grown up. Egon is still a cool dude...Eda is a crazy little energizer bunny LOL.

When the pups turn 1...Kitsune will be turning 9. My old lady.

Eleven needs to go in for her OFA's, she is all grown up. She has her mothers mouth. Always running LOL.
