Today was Xan and Haddie's first basketball game day...after just two practice days. It was pretty painful to watch LOL, they have soooo much to learn and improve on. They had a good time for the most part, which is what is most important....right?
A little shoot around time before game 1 starts.
The coaches did a great job, they kept it fun, low pressure and did their best to instruct the kids on the rules of the game.
Lily and Jericho entertained themselves, thank goodness for Kindles and the 3DS.
That "my guy just died again" face LOL.
Keep trying.
Game one was pretty evenly matched, both teams seemed pretty new and the score (even though an official score wasn't kept...which I think is dumb) stayed close.
Lily made a sign that she held up during the game..."Go Fireballs!!!" LOL.
Hayden has some real raw talent, she tries really hard and wants to be the best. Xan, well, he has lots of work to do Hahaha.
End of game 1...we lost but tried hard.
Our jerseys arrived in time for game two. Looking good dude.
Still playing his game.
This team was a good 2 years ahead, and were way better...honestly it was a slaughter and they had no business playing kids so new...but our team did their best and handled defeat as well as can be expected.
2 of our kids didn't make it today, so these 4 got lots of game time today.
Hopefully we are better come next weeks game...even if just a little. I'm not sure I can handle another game day like today, I'm too competitive to watch such newbies LOL.

Training, painting and eating.
Ava is doing pretty good at the trainers. I am still not sure that she is the right horse for us, I probably should have picked an older quarter horse or other calmer breed over an 8 year old Thoroughbred....but I'm not ready to throw in the towel yet. We are doing real well on our ground work...about to get in the saddle soon too.
The girls are still making their way through their Christmas craft gifts.
Our prego girls are helping us do a little shrub clearing. We got these panels and made a movable pen so they can put in time eating and clearing more of the property.

Bowling buddies.
Jericho's best friend from Pre-K had his birthday party today, to the kids delight it was at a bowling alley/arcade, I don't think parties get much better. This was my kiddos second time bowling, they actually did OK...thanks at times to the bumpers LOL.
Right out of the gate Jericho knocked down 9, then picked up the 1 pin spare...the kid bowls better than I do LOL.
The trio tried off and on to not use the ramp, the girls actually did pretty good too.
Sometimes some extra finger crossing was needed Hahaha!
The hardest part was waiting for other kids to hurry up and take their turn.
Jericho was so happy to see Zane again.
Then we killed a little time in the arcade.
This was a group effort, Jericho steered while Dad handled the gas pedal.
Rigged, rigged I tell you LOL.
Hayden is pretty good at air hockey, she held her own until the time ran out on their game.
Finished the afternoon off with some hoops. Happy Birthday Zane!

Ugh the sickies hit early this year.
Hayden brought home the cooties and shared unselfishly. Yesterday Lily and Jericho had the worst of it, and today is Xander's turn. Thankfully it seems to be a 12 hour stomach bug, and by 24 hours the kids have been good as new. VERY thankful that all of them almost always make it to the bathroom...almost always LOL. Not looking forward to my turn...ugh.
Nothing makes a sick boy feel better like his doggy. She can be so sweet sometimes.
There is no better napping buddy than O.J. Awwww...this kid never naps, it is so cute and quiet when he does.
We brought the buns in for a little play time today, they are getting big too. The 3 Silver Foxes are 6 months and 10 lbs already. Probably get a litter of babies out of Kitty and Fire Star in March.
Miss Kitty is turning out quite lovely in the show sense.
Batman is still a sweetie.
Fire Star looks so wide from above LOL.
The Rex girls are still on the smaller side...probably 6 or so lbs, but they are only 4 1/2 for Phoenix here, and 3 1/2 months old for the blue...so still another 3-4 months before we try for babies.
Per the show Rex people Dark Sparkle here has a nice shape to her. Her fur is my favorite out of the 3, oh my goodness the feel of it is amazing, I can't wait to try and make stuff with the pelts of her babies. I know, I know it sounds icky and mean and I never would kill something just for its fur, but since the buns will be for meat as well I think it is important to use all of the animal and not let anything be wasted.
Dr. Colosso is a big boy, 6 mo and right around 10 lbs. The fun this with these guys is the many different colors and patterns we can get, it really will be like a box of chocolates ;) Can't wait for this spring and summer...fun times.
