Fun fun fun.
Helping out the 8th graders today was fun. Hayden loves this team, and the coaches. She has had the best time filling in for them. I like seeing a different Hayden on the court, when she plays with the 8th graders and when she is playing on the Rose Valley team she is so much more at ease, she has so much more fun with less weight on her shoulders. She needs to learn to play like this on her "real" team.
Me and copilot Baya left on a road trip to Idaho before I was able to watch all of Hayden's games. Had to leave Jason a little Vday gift before we left too.

Sweet boy.
Um Jericho may have a crush...he is so sweet and thoughtful when he likes a girl. Hope he keeps that up.
Annoying his sisters 7th grade basketball team is sweaty work LOL.
This weekend was the last tourney until State in March. Tough games today. Hayden’s 7th grade team ended up 1 and 1, then she helped out the 8th grade team and they ended up 1 and 1 too. More tomorrow. Fingers crossed the girls all do well.

Over it.
Living in Washington, one of just nine states that still have mask mandates, we are all still forced to wear masks. This week a lot of students at the public schools in our state, and our specific area, have been holding peaceful protests outside of their schools. Students holding signs and just doing what they can to peacefully let people know the kids are tired of this. I’m sure the adults are tired of this. I’m sure most of the teachers that have to enforce this mandate are also tired of it. My 7th graders asked if they could participate, I told them to be respectful and go for it. I don’t think Covid is made up, I do think Covid can be very serious especially to those with underlying conditions. Our family was fortunate and had a mild case when we got Covid last year, and we haven’t had it come back again. That said, I don’t think Covid is going anywhere. Masks and these shots are not getting rid of Covid. I think it’s like the flu, you’re not going to cure it, you’re not going to make it go away…our systems are going to have to learn to deal with it. I hope we are about ready to carry on. The protest went off well. I guess lots of adults, parents and not, showed up to join. They even ordered a bunch of pizzas for the kids…who because they left the doors of their school were locked out and missed lunch. From what I hear they got lots of honks for support, and sadly lots of people drove by and flipped the kids off as well. How embarrassing. So proud of these young people for standing up, also glad our kids stayed respectful.

Never ending.
Another night in a gym. Hayden’s and Xander’s Rose Valley team won their first game tonight. Xander is really rusty, but managed to make a couple baskets and even a free throw. After it was over he actually said "That was fun, when is the next game?"...so glad I talk my kids into things sometimes. Hayden had a good game and managed to take it easy on the kids.
We are so very busy, Fridays and Wednesdays...thus far, are the only days of the week I'm not hauling 4 kids between activities. Hayden is on 2 basketball teams and a softball team. Lily is in bowling and in the middle of rehersals for a choir performance, and softball for her is starting soon. Xander and Jericho are both on basketball teams...with baseball coming soon. When I'm not dealing with kid stuff, I'm making farm calls to ultrasound, trim hooves, remove horns, give shots to various people's animals. I am having a hard time getting studying done. I keep hoping things will slow down soon....but they won't.

Jericho balling out.
Tonight was game one for the small Rose Valley teams. Jericho’s team kicked butt, he has a bunch of classmates and friends on the team so they just have a blast. Jericho was on fire....think he is trying to impress Hayden LOL. He sunk a 3 pointer, and 3 layups...little stud muffin! Got the W 22 to 13.

They did it again!
Two feisty games today. We played a tough first game against the Mooks, then we had to play Coastal again to decide 1st and 2nd place. A little between game lunch silliness. Hayden got super in her head during the first game, thank goodness she pulled it together for the second.
They fought hard today...the other teams coach and parents were totally immature and rude. They are not used to losing and think they are better than us, as they so loudly shared. Well now they have beat us once and we've beat them twice....until we meet again. 4 and 0 champs this weekend! The girls love their well deserved medals.

Day one down.
Hayden has another basketball tournament this weekend. This pic was 5 years ago…and 4 of these girls are still on the same team.
Our first game was a good warm up, got the W 50 to 14. Hayden had 18 points. Our second game was against the team that beat us by three points to take first a couple weeks ago. This time we won by 10 points! On to tomorrow.
Triplet momma’s unite. The Encanto Challenge...doing this made us finally watch the movie, really liked it. I don’t have many pics of me holding all three. They were 35 days old here, and Xander had just been released from the NICU. Having triplets had just gotten real LOL. Feels like a lifetime ago. They amaze me every day.

Sporty kids.
Lily cracks me up every day, now she can do it from afar LOL. Bowling day with her team.
The victors!
Hayden’s second Bball practice of the day. After HHC tourney practice she heads over to practice with the church league team. The little Rose Valley teams first game will be on Tuesday. Monday for Jericho’s team. They are having a lot of fun. Hayden has been put at point, she is loving working in a new spot. Xander is not really an athlete, but he is trying...with mostly a good attitude LOL.

We can't trust him.
Fricking Phil. So ready for an early spring. Hayden’s first adjustment. He made sure to work on her ankles. She asked If he could pull her legs enough that she would grow a few more inches LOL.
Another kid has a phone. The trio are really teenagers now LOL. Lily also digs the teen mags and fancy claws. My girly girl.
