That's a wrap for Track.

Districts for Track and Field were today. Hayden came in 3rd for Shot Put, 5th for Javelin and 6th for Discus…with a new PR of 66’1”. It was quite the turn out…lots of schools were represented well. Way to go to the Coweeman Cougars.

Another pile of hair, still not quite done.

Flying in so many directions.

Lily and the cast of Newsies have been working so hard. This last week before opening night they have been working from 6pm to 10:30pm every night. She is exhausted but excited.
Jericho's baseball team beat a tough and undefeated team tonight. They are doing a great job this season.
Hayden's rec team won tonight. She is excited for her tourney team to get started this coming weekend. She is getting so close to an out of the park home run. Tonight she hit one that fell right at the fence. Then her stealing home on a Superman slide. Ump called her out, he is a friend…later said he thinks she was actually safe with her left hand before the catcher tagged her shoulder but it happened so fast LOL. At least it didn’t cost them the game. She is doing a great job on first base, she loves catching people out before they get a chance to get by her.

Sunny Days.

Sunshine, glorious sunshine. The girls enjoyed some exercise in the pasture. Eleven is two now...just about time to go get her hips and elbows xrayed for OFA.

In the park home run for Hayden tonight.

One tired girl.

Hayden’s team lost their games today too. Hayden was a beast on both sides of the ball. So proud of how she stepped up to playing with the 16 and 17 year olds. She has enjoyed playing with the big girls…even though she says they are mean. She’s been pinched, jabbed, elbowed and given a bloody nose today LOL. Hayden was asked to help in their last two tournaments later this month. I have to say the way this team and the parents have happily accepted Hayden was so nice. They were cheering for her more than I was LOL. She was exhausted after this weekend, but very happy.

While Hayden and I were at basketball today, Jason took the other kiddos to Oaks Park. Lily's BFF Kalaya was celebrating her birthday and requested a day of fun with Lily. I love those two.

Playing up big time.

When the High School Varsity coach messaged to see if Hayden could fill in on a tournament team this weekend her eyes lit up…there may have been screaming and seat slapping too LOL. My 14 year old showed up and played her heart out on a 16/17 U team. Hayden kicked butt for them, scoring half their points in their first game. She took the 9 point loss the best I’ve ever seen. I enjoy watching her play fill in, she doesn’t get in her head and beat herself up nearly as much when it’s not “her team” if that makes sense.

Their second game of the day was brutal, their opponents were amazing ballers. They had some big girls too. This team will likely end up taking the tournament...can't stress how good they were. The coach of that team somehow heard Hayden was a 14 year old 8th grader and made a point to find her TWICE and tell her how good she is and that she has a bright future in high school. That made the loss sting a lot less.
