Still in it!

 Another W tonight, the girls are still in the State hunt! They play again on Friday...it is expected to be a tough one up in Tacoma. Fingers crossed they get it. If they win Friday they made it to State. If they lose they have to play Saturday, if they win that one they are in, but if they lose they are out.

Damn that is heavy.

Superior scores for Lily and some of the other Kelso performers. Way to go Bug!

So exhausted. Worked over in large animal today. NINE horse floats, horse heads are so damn heavy. I held 5 and then had to tap out. If that wasn’t enough then four 200lbs goats came in needing activated charcoal, which never tastes as good as whatever they ate that got them in trouble in the first place. That was a fun wrestling match LOL.

 

A newbie to the hunt.

Freija got to try out barn hunt today with Eleven. They both did great today! They found their rats, did the tunnel, and climbed the bales in under 45 seconds! They both still hate the car ride. 

Shine on.

Hayden is a good sized freshmen, and she is strong as heck. There is always bigger and stronger. She has run in to some big girls playing with the Varsity team. There was a very large girl on the other team yesterday. Hayden mixed it up multiple times for jump balls. One of those times landed her flat on her face, today she is sporting a lovely purple shiner. 

Speaking of eyes, the kittens are opening their cute little peepers!

Keeping after it!

The girls got the W in their first play off game! 

When you submit your roster for State you can not make any changes even if you lose players to injury. The Varsity team added two more JV players just in case. These three have been playing together since 2nd or 3rd grade so fun to see them here together.

Varsity team stats on the year. I know they missed a bunch of assists for Hayden. Not bad when she is only getting 1/3 of the play time as most of the other girls. Hopefully next year she will be able to flex her skills on the court more. Can’t wait to see her stats then!

Oh my aching back.

I tweaked my back really bad a couple days ago. Poor Cinder thought she was home free for no work outs for a bit. Thankful for my friend for continuing her work. Love me a sweaty horse.

The girls lost tonight. I think the first playoff game is Friday, if we win we will keep working towards state. If we lose we are out. 

Rats and chores.

Finding rats and helping with horse chores with Eleven today. 

Fluffy babies.

One week old. All long hair. 1 orange and white boy and 3 cream girls not spoken for yet. I think they will be flame point or possible blue/cream point or blue/cream torti point as their points are not as dark yet as their lynx point brother. Always fun to watch and see how the creams turn out. Sadly we lost the tabby boy. 

Bets are bets.

I can barely type through the tears. Jason lost his work fantasy football. Loser had to do this for an hour. I can’t even. 

Senior night for the Varsity team. Hayden had a great game, another important win. After it was over she was balling for the two seniors on the team that will be graduating this year. They are two teammates that made her feel welcome as a freshman newbie. The news guy wanted to interview her again but when he saw her sobbing away he went in search of someone who wouldn’t blow snot bubbles while talking to him LOL. The girls have their last regular season game on Monday.

The varsity game announcer seems to have picked “Magic” Johnson for Hayden’s nickname on the court when he announces her baskets, rebounds, etc. She was wondering when she would get her nickname and what he would pick, she approves. Hayden ended up with 8 points last night. Mondays game is going to be tough, a win would be awesome for playoffs. They should be in either way but they would have a better spot if they win Monday. Fingers crossed.

Old freshman and soon to be new freshman.

Incoming 8th grader night. It seems like we were just here with the triplets yesterday. Crazy their freshman year is more than half over. Hayden helped man the girls basketball table for the newest incoming freshman class sign ups. 

The trio are planning what classes they will take next year as Sophomores. So far for 10th grade Hayden is forecasted to take University of Washington Math 120 Pre-Calc, UW Chemistry, and UW English III Comp Lit. Of course, she is also fitting in a weight lifting class LOL among her others. Lily is also doing the UW English, and AP World History...but not sure on her others yet. I don't think Xander has pick his yet.
