Getting a jump on our Halloween decorations.

The kids new, and giant, kitchen has yet to make its way outside. I have a feeling since the weather is about to get crappy it will be adorning my livingroom until spring. The kids are playing with it every day, so hopefully it will provide lots of fun when we are all stuck inside hibernating this winter.

The girls have found a fun perch, that kinda sorta keeps them out of Jericho's reach. They find their baby brother a bit of a pest sometimes LOL.

We got started on some Halloween decorations today. It seems like we haven't done any crafts for a minute, so it was time.

The kids had so much fun making handprint salt dough gifts for Grandma last Christmas, that we wanted to make her some more. We want to add to her Snowmen prints, other season ideas so she could change her decorations out.

Everyone was very excited.

Even Jericho cooperated :)

You can find the recipe we used here, but to be honest I need to look for a better one...or knead the crap out of it even more. Air keeps getting trapped in and they already look like they aren't going to hold up too long. If anyone has any good recipe's let me know, I will be remaking these...and Grandma's Snowmen too...they have cracked also :( They are still fun to make anyway.

1st coat of acrylic paint.

Just about done with the ghostliness :)
That is a lot of toothpick work LOL.

We had one piece of dough left, so I had each of the kids add their thumb print. Turned out pretty cute!
Added the last touch of bucket handles and a spray coat of an acrylic varnish.
