Play dates are fun...and tasty!

The trio were super excited to have a play date over at a school friends house today. Lily's BFF Kalaya actually lives really close to us, wish we would have been able to put some play dates together sooner, I feel bad that now that they are about to move away we are getting the girls together more.

We made a special play date treat to take over with us....so super easy, and yummy! Mini fruit pizza cupcakes. I finally had a reason to buy a mini cupcake pan LOL.

When I was done filling all the all the cupcakes the kids were nice enough to, um, clean up.

They loved the filling...and the fruit.

Silly munchkins.

They did the fruit toppings on some of the cupcakes.

Jericho even helped, though I'm sure he just wanted me to hurry up and give them the left over fruit to demolish.

Bug was so happy to be making treats for her bestie...so cute. I am going to be so sad for her when her first best friend moves away.

All done, they look almost as good as they tasted...I only got 1, but it was scrumptious!

They are super simple...
1 roll of sugar cookie dough
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
fresh fruit

 Directions:
1.) Preheat oven to 350 and grease a 24-count mini-muffin pan (or use liners)
2.) Slice sugar cookie dough into 24 equal parts, roll into a ball, and place in each muffin cup
3.) Using your thumb, mold the sugar cookie dough into the shape of the muffin tin, ensuring they stay equal thickness
4.) Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes. Watch them!
5.) Remove from oven when golden brown. They will be puffy, but will lose that upon cooling. Once cool, carefully remove from the muffin pan and transfer to a serving platter, tray, etc.
6.) Mix the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract together in a mixture. Pipe or spoon into the cooled cookies. Top with fruit.

A little owl art work Haddie made. I love the colors she picks, nice job Miss Hayden.
The boys hung out for about 30 minutes...then Jason took Xan and Jericho to do something fun by themselves. The girls had a great time with their friend...and her little brother, who is less pesty than their own LOL.

While we were at the girls friends house, the boys went and had fun at the arcade. They won enough tickets to each buy a light saber, the girls were totally jealous, I kinda was too LOL.

I think it is almost time to introduce the kids to the awesomeness that is Star Wars!

The boys love these things...and we are under strict order from Hayden and Lily to take everyone back to the arcade soon.

I'm kinda surprised Jericho is not the "bad guy"...after all he is the one who said he was going to be a "bad" cowboy when he grows up LOL.
