A new critter for the farm.

We took a drive out to Bend today, we were on a mission to pick up a new critter for the farm. We got a special treat and were able to spend the afternoon with the kids Auntie Stacie.

Stopped off for a little energy burn at a playground. 4 hours each way is a loooong time in a car.

Oakley...formerly Annie of the Gangster and Sakari oops litter. 8 years old, big as a horse...and Auntie Stacies best pal.
Always musical in Aunties hood.

A little sight seeing. It was hot...but everyone had fun.

Kids!

On top on the world!

Finding some pumice.
The day flew...but lots of hugs and smiles were exchanged.
Our reason for making the Bend trip, was to bring home our first livestock guardian dog to hopefully keep our farm a bit safer. Meet our new girl Skeet. Funny story guys, my brother has had a friend since high school (in like the 80's cuz they are old) his name is Skeet. She is a mix of Anatolian Shepherd, Great Pyrenees and Caucasian Ovcharka. She is only 7 months old...still has a year of growing left LOL. Her previous family didn't have a big enough job for her with just 2 sheep and a couple horses, there was a teary goodbye...that almost made me cry, she was obviously very loved. Skeet is a very sweet girl, hopefully she is a good fit here.

The goats are not sure about this dog.
So far she seems very very sweet, she for sure has a mind of her own...I can't wait for her to settle into her job here.

Such a cute girl!
Tonight Lily decided she wanted the family to play "I Love You Because". Luckily she had this spinner that had 6 numbers on it. In age order we assigned each person a number. When the hand stops on your number the spinner says something they love about that person, then it is that persons turn to spin and say something they love about the person their spin stops on. It was actually a really fun game..and it was interesting to hear what everyone loves about everyone else.
