Tough day.

They gave it their all…came home from the State Championship games with a 4th place trophy. These girls fought so hard. Playing 6 games in 100 degree weather, winning 5 of them. So proud of the fight they put up. There were tears of disappointment but they should all hold their heads high.

About 1 year ago Hayden decided...with lots of pushing, to try out for her first ever softball team. Almost all of her basketball crew was on a team together, so to be with her friends she agreed to give it a try. If you know Hayden you know sports are life...BUT she doesn't like to suck LOL, so trying out for a totally 100% new to her sport was scary as heck for my perfectionist. They had a rough time in the beginning thanks to COVID, but how they have grown this season. I really can't even believe these are the same girls. A year ago I would have never dreamed they would come home with 4th place at State....or that I would love this softball family so much. They are so amazing. I will be hearing all the loud chants in my sleep for weeks LOL. You rock girls! Thanks for a great first year, can't wait for fall ball!

109 today at Grandma's...but the pool was so nice. Good way to end a hard and hot weekend. Even Eleven enjoyed her first swim.
