Volcano!

Auntie Stacie spent a few hours having fun with the munchkins before heading back home today. She came bearing lots of fruit, to the tune of a bag of pears, a box of blueberries, a whole pineapple and a bag of oranges. The wrecking crew went to work and demolished everything, save for a couple pears and a few oranges. Stacie and I actually managed to get a few bites...just had to move really fast LOL.

After lunch I pulled out the Volcano "toy" that Stacie had given to Xan for Christmas. He has been asking to play with it a couple of times a month since he got it. I was so glad Stacie got to be here to have fun with it too.
Everyone was so excited to see it in action.

The eruption was a little small maybe, but the kiddos sure didn't mind. Now I know how amazing they are going to think a bigger one is...like a school project or something, do they still make those for school projects?

Silly kids. They already want to do it again LOL. This same volcano can also make an ice eruption too...will have to check that out soon.

Then we decided to get started on our end of the year gifts for the trio's teachers.
I had planned to make the same ones we did for the kids teachers last year, but everyone went a bit more crazy with the finger prints this time...so I may have to change things up a bit Hahaha.

Thanks for hanging with us today Stacie, the kiddos miss you already XOXOX.

Then we headed over to the new house, because of course you can't miss a day of work. Xan, Haddie, Lily and Jericho got to enjoy a special dinner and a movie while Jason and I got busy.

Jason got more doors hung back up. I am really liking the black with white trim and cool walls...very nice look!

Doing final touches in the kitchen, can't wait to get this room finished.

The last of the staining. Still have a lot of cabinets to poly though.

Working on the laundry area doors. creeping along...gotta start packing soon, that will be the next big step ugh.

Grandma and Auntie Stacie get the tour.

Auntie Stacie came to town for a couple days, we didn't get to hang out too much, but it seemed like a great time to give her and Grandma their first tour of the new house. The kids LOVED seeing their Auntie, she is always so fun :) She made cute daisy wear...everyone wanted a turn wearing it.

Silly girls.
I can't wait to get to the decorating part...this little hallway has loads of potential LOL.
Staining the window trim and pantry trim.
Got the first door put back on too...bathroom, seemed like the logical first choice LOL

Cul-De-Sac's ROCK!

I made some healthy cookies for snack today, they for sure tasted, um, healthy LOL. Not yucky really, just not too yummy either...at least the kids enjoyed them LOL.
2 large bananas, 1 cup quick oats, 1 tbs peanut butter, 1/4 cup ground flax seed, sprinkle of brown sugar and 1/2 cup chocolate chips. Mash the bananas then combine everything else in. I used cooking spray on my foil, they wanted to stick a bit, cook at 350 for about 15 min. Quick and easy!

Another work day over at the house. I think we are going to hate moving out of this house...in about 5 years...because of this cul-de-sac, and all the kids that live here that are going to be such good friends for Xan, Haddie, Lily and Jericho. I think being on a cul-de-sac just may be a requirement in our next house, we haven't even moved in yet and it is already amazing.

When we got there today some kids were out playing "tennis" with their Grandparents. My kids were handed racquets and joined in. I love that everyone is included...and that all the parents/Grandparents watch out for each others kids. They call out car, on the rare occasions a car drives in, and make sure all the kids get on the sidewalk. A couple of the neighbors have also been over a few times to check out all the work we are doing inside the house. All this interaction is going to take some getting used to LOL, I am not a hermit or anything...but we have spent the last 8 ish years in our current house, on a crazy busy street, we know none of our neighbors beyond waving high or giving the kids some fruit and veggies during the summer, and now we are in a 100% different situation...kinda strange Hahaha.

Go Haddie...check out that form!

They had so much fun...yay for tennis balls being on the softer side and 4 1/2 year olds not having much power behind their swing...nothing got broke or dented with all the balls flying around LOL.

Our little Lily Bug is not really a sports lover, and she prefers her playing outside doses short and sweet. Here she is heading inside with Daddy to do something else.
In Bug Heaven :)

Xander got busy helping us clean today...Xan you are a genius! You can clean a lot of floor with the sweepers on your feet LOL.

When it started getting chilly and darker everyone came inside for a movie.

A sea of doors drying.
Trim up...and looking good. Now we just need to putty, then sand and repaint the nail holes. It is never ending I tell ya, getting one job done...just creates 3 more jobs. We will never get done.

Late nights.

I think we have been hitting the remodel work too hard, and too long over the last couple weeks. Jason especially has been working too hard I think, where did my totally easy going hubby go, I don't know but I hope he returns soon. We took a short shopping trip today that didn't go well...according to Mr. Grumpy Pants. I had to clear things up for him and told him...."hey no one was kidnapped, got lost, got hurt, opened anything or broke anything, that is a good trip in my book...a little whining is just shopping with 4 kids who are having a rough day." I wish I could say a break was in our future, but if we want to be moving in by May 1st we are going to have to keep hitting it hard.

Uncle Skunk was having fun entertaining the munchkins today, while working hard...a little Simon Says, Red Light Green Light, and story telling is fun for everyone :)
Busy little bees, so much still to do. LAME.

Ready for more fun.
I wish it wasn't so cold...Lil Dude doesn't love being all bundled up LOL.

Trim is getting close to being done!

Starts getting dark fast.
Staining some 1/4 round for the kitchen....still have a lot of cabinets to finish up too.

Bug and Jericho decided to call it on the play time and got in the car to watch a movie.
Tree climbing in the dark. You would think after all the activity and staying up passed bedtime the kiddos would maybe, just maybe, start sleeping in a little. Not so far...ugh.
