Hayden showed up.

Another win for varsity tonight. The girls played so well this week. Article about the game, I think they missed a rebound but who's counting LOL. Wish I was going to AZ. with Hayden. Hopefully we will be able to watch the games somehow.  

Varsity girl.

Hayden is a sports stud. She loves volleyball and softball...but basketball is number 1. She had set the goal for herself to get on Varsity since she learned there was a Varsity. Not many freshmen get there. This year at tryouts she worked her butt off but the team only took 8. Hayden was told she would likely swing up for some games. It broke her heart...but then she was determined that she would work so hard that by mid season they would move her up. Games 1 and 2 of the season she played half and half between JV and Varsity. Then by the next week she was varsity full time...though still not "official". She has been so happy to be playing Varsity but this week the coach made her season by giving her the varsity bling....she got the warm up gear and now feels more official LOL. Keep working hard for what you want Hayden...you are a force of nature ❤ We had to snap some pics in her new fave sweater. 

Last nights game was a nice win for Varsity...Hayden got some love from the local news.

Goodbye to my protector.

Today was the day, I knew it was coming. Good journey Lycan. I would say rest easy but anyone who knew him knows that is not likely LOL. He was a fun dog, never quit, and loved me with his whole heart. He never took his eyes off me. He made me feel safe. Goodbyes suck. Lycan had been declining for a good 6 months. Major weight loss despite eating 5 cups of food a day. We had done 2 rounds of x-rays looking for internal masses as cancer was the thought. We also did 2 rounds of CBC Chems, we did a cancer screening blood test, we did an ACTH stem test, tested for EPI and Thyroid issues, took a lump off and had histo done...everything came back normal. He was 52 pounds today...normally he is around 70. He was starting to get weak and had yellowing showing up so his liver was starting to be involved. It sucks not having an answer despite looking in every direction we could. We will miss you Psycho Lyco.

Trying to get Chrsitmas shopping finished up. This is $700 of clothes…prices on everything is so out of control right now. Christmas and teenagers, it ain’t pretty LOL.

 Holiday Gala for Lily and all the concert, band and other performing arts kids. They put on a great show.

Grade brag on my girls. The boys are doing great too thankfully. Xander has one B and the rest are A’s, and Jericho even has a couple A’s and nothing below a C right now! Hayden and Lily are both doing fantastic. Their teachers have nothing but wonderful comments and high hopes. Hayden and her Dad were told she needs to be in math year round, she flew through Geometry A…teacher told us it was too easy for her. Upon his urging she went right into Geometry B, next is Algebra A. His plan is to have her in Calculus next year as a Sophomore, and to keep her climbing until she needs to start UDUB classes in high school. You could see his excitement for her and about her mathy brain LOL. Speaking of UDUB Lily’s English Language Arts teacher thinks she will have the ability, and his support, to start college ELA classes next year. So proud of how hard these two work

A couple days ago Jericho spilled the beans that his Dad put a new ornament on the tree that I wouldn’t approve of. I totally forgot about it. Until tonight. So many immature giggles from my kids AND husband as soon as I saw it. You will note the baby Jesus next to the penisflake at 11 o’clock. OMG.

Bah humbug.

 Time to get into the Christmas spirit. I'm not feeling it yet, but these kids are.
